Heissa, Emerging...

These products are inspired by the native women of Heissa Island, Aswan. In preserving the Nubian handicrafts & language passed down through generations, we’ve created products that manifest the heritage and culture of the island and its people.

“Isse Kiddibouringo Biltassi” is a Nubian phrase used locally to express the relief that comes after persevering through life’s inevitable struggles. It's translated into ‘The Drowning Waters from which I’ve Emerged”.

We joined forces with Mashrou El Saada to contribute to developing the island and its community.
